Bachelor's Onasadhya

Onam (ഓണം) is the regional festival of Kerala and is celebrated by malayalees all over the world with so much of enthusiasm. It is of ten days celebration and main is Thiruvonam (തിരുവോണം), the most auspicious day with the main attraction of 'Thiruvona Sadya'. Onasadhya (ഓണസദ്യ) is a vegetarian feast or banquet with a vast variety of dishes, traditionally served on Vaazhayila (വാഴയില, Plantain Leaves). The sadya has boiled red rice, known as Kutthari, as the main ingredient served with wide variety of side-dishes, which may vary from region to region. And wherever malayalee is, he will celebrate onam with fun and folly. And of course won’t miss the Onasadhya too.
